I am loving these sweet, embroidered and hand-stamped pillows from Apol Lejano-Massebiau, a Filipino expat now living in the South of France. Many of these "pillows" are actually filled with lavender -- perfect for working on a good night's rest (or just pretending you're the one living in the South of France), and really don't you prefer these peaceful birds to that creepy Lunesta butterfly thing? Their housewares and cushions are just adorable and they are even having a sample sale online. Here are a few things from the sample sale. I love their prints .. the lamps I can somehow picture in a little girl's room or maybe in an art studio.. anyway.. they are just informal and cute. :)

I think adding some shine and glimmer to a room can add so much depth and sophistication. The trick is to make sure it doesn't look 'gaudy' or the type of place where you feel like you can't put your feet up and relax. Lately, I have come to adore metallic linens and leathers. They still have that rustic feel to them but have an added shimmer to dress up a space. This site I found - Heals - based in the UK has some great accessories!
