Já foram selecionados os 340 projectos nomeados para concorrer ao prémio de arquitectura contemporânea Mies van der Rohe Award 2009 para a União Europeia. O prémio teve início em 1987, e os vencedores do tamanho de Zaha Hadid, OMA, Perrault, e Siza-Mansilla Tuñón seu último vencedor, é o mais importante realizado na Europa e é atribuído bienalmente a projectos concluídos dentro dos dois anos anteriores.O objetivo do prêmio é reconhecer o caracter excepcional da arquitectura contemporânea de soluções que se destacam pelas suas soluções conceptuais, estéticas, técnicas e construtivas e pela sua contribuição para a construção da Europa.
Already selected the 340 projects were nominated to compete for the prize for contemporary architecture Mies van der Rohe Award 2009 for the European Union.
